Visual Learner Stress to Success by Addressing the Root Causes

Visual Learner Stress

Visual Learner Stress Often Results in Child Not Wanting to Go to School

Visual Learner stress often starts the night before — when your child cannot get to sleep

Visual learner stress often is even worse in the morning, when for no apparent reason your child does not want to go to school.

Then visual learner stress often reaches its’ peak when you pick your child up and ask, “How was your day at school?”

As parents of two visual learners and professionals who have helped thousands of visual learners go from Stress to Success, we know that Parents Make The Difference.

Below we have listed some of the major challenges facing the visual learner:

  • Getting to sleep
    Visual Learner Stress

Visual Learner Stress Impacts Many Things

  • Getting up in the morning
  • Being put down at school for something they did not know or did
  • Getting asked “How was your day”
  • Homework time and stress
  • Reading comprehension — maybe your child can remember vivid details from a movie, but not what they just read”.
  • Putting their thoughts on paper — writing is an issue and handwriting is sometimes an issue
  • Math word problems
  • School projects that require planning and writing
  • The wrong teacher
  • Self-esteem challenge
  • Parents who do not understand their child

We have been through all these challenges with our two visual learners and with thousands more.  These challenges may not all occur in the same child, but the average visual learner we see has at least 8 of them and often 9, 10, or 11 of them.

This is the first blog post on the Visual Learner Stress to Success — and we will be addressing all 10 of these factors.  We will start with the question — is my child a visual learner and so what.

Does your child remember places visited, even from years ago?

Does your child learn best when he or she sees and experiences information?

Is your child a lot smarter than present results would indicated.

If the answers are yes to 2 or 3 of these questions. there is a good chance your child is a visual learner.  We suggest taking our no cost Stress to Success Assessment  — do this with your child – their answers may surprise you.  You will get immediate feedback and you can then call us for a no cost Visual Learner Stress to Success Strategy Session

Recognize that Visual Learner Stress can be the catalyst to unleashing your child’s potential.

Below are some reasons going to sleep might be an issue for your child and how to transform visual learner stress to success

Why going to sleep might be a problem:

1-  Child is not tired — due to lack of physical activity

2-  Over stimulation – it is 10 pm or midnight and your child is still on electronics

3-  No game plan — your child does not have a set plan — so they maneuver to stay up

4-  They are worried about the next day

5-  It is either too quiet or they have the TV on and do not go to sleep

7 Steps to Go From Visual Learner Stress to Sleeping Success

1- Use a visual schedule to plan the evening with prescribed times — especially for starting to go to bed and getting in bed

2- Make sure your child has at least 30 and preferably 60 minutes of physical activity before 8 pm

3- Follow the schedule

4- Make sure all electronics are off 1 hour before bed time

5-  Do something constructive before going to bed — reading, listening to music, or talking about something fun

6-  When your child is in bed at the prescribed time, tell them “That is just like you, you are always in bed at the right time”  – if they fail to do this — say – “Tomorrow, you will start getting to bed and going to bed at the right time

7-  Find the right environment for your child to go to sleep – sometimes it is silence or classical music that works well – do what works for your child
